Tonawanda News — Interesting article in the paper about red light cameras. No wonder Pilozzi wanted the company. Their lobbyist donated to his campaign. He probably influenced the previous council to pass this. We’re lucky that some council members have a brain.

Can anyone tell me why the City of Tonawanda didn’t vote on food trucks? I was looking forward to them coming to the city.

What kind of college education can an inmate receive for $5,000? A decent college education costs about $5,000 per year and $20,000 for a four-year degree and more if you want a better career.

•••

Can somebody tell me how a house in the City of Tonawanda that hasn’t had an assessor inside in 13 years can go up 50 percent in value in 10 years. How is that possible? Fifty percent in 10 years.

•••

I read in your paper a few months ago our government has stopped giving tuition to our brave men and women in our military, but Gov. Cuomo wants to give a free ride to our convicts? Unbelievable.

•••

I read in the Tonawanda News that the Tonawanda Board of Appeals unanimously rejected People Inc.’s request to convert the former Highland school into low income apartments. Now that it’s been overruled and it’s going to happen, I worry about People Inc. and how many sex offenders are going to be living there. What is our mayor going to do about this?

•••

Instead of giving free college education for losers who go to prison for violent crimes, why don’t you set up job exchanges for seniors who are physically and mentally fit? Let us have a chance to add to our pensions by working.

I’d like to know how and why we need to have a Canadian pipeline go through our country to the Gulf to pump their crude to save them money. What is the deal? What do we get out of it? Why are we shipping oil out of our country and buying from other countries. That’s pretty foolish.
