Tonawanda News — The reason North Tonawanda will not allow a special permit for deer hunters is because the NT police department knows if they go out and hunt like everybody else, the odds of getting a 12-point buck are slim. Here, they’re ripe for the picking and then they can have a nice deer mounted in their house.

I thought the public voted to sell the Central School. How come the MJ Petersen sign is still up for sale? Did the Republicans disagree or did the Democrats disagree? I want an answer. That’s $127,000 that could have gone to education or taxes but someone doesn’t want the school to be gone. Get off you’re butt and get something done.

I, along with three friends, all in their 70s attended the basket raffle Friday at Ohio Elementary School. It was a great success with a very crowded gymnasium. As usual, many children, old enough to know better, ran and raced up and down the aisles and chair areas. One parent was overheard saying to their child that it was okay to run if the aisles were clear. Really? Many in attendance had either canes or walkers. I feel that an announcement should’ve been made seeing that their parents were oblivious. Remember, ignorant and rude parents raise ignorant and rude children.

To the person who’s worried about their shrubs. Don’t worry about your shrubs. If you can afford to plant them, you can afford to replace them. Besides a lot of them will come back. I live in a prominent area too but I still enjoy God’s creatures. Live and let live. Get a life. Get with it or get out.

It’s very simple. When it comes to paying for college for prisoners, all you got to do is ask yourself what would Jesus do?
