Tonawanda News — Wondering about Russia. Isn’t Russia a partner on the Space Station? Don’t hear them saying anything about that.

How can Erie County say they don’t have enough money to work on all the potholes in the city? Aren’t they the county that wants to give about $50 million to build a new stadium for the losing team of the Buffalo Bills? They shouldn’t even be around here, we shouldn’t pay a penny for them. Can someone please explain this to me?

If you tip a waitress in a restaurant then you should tip your news carrier. Especially because they have to come out in the freezing, bad weather to bring you the paper. Even if it is late, you still don’t need to run out for it so tip them well.

It sure pays off having a mayor who is also a full time meteorologist.

There’s a sign in the North Tonawanda Middle School honoring the teachers who went to last week’s board meeting in support of their contract. The interesting part is there’s never a sign honoring teachers going to other board meetings to improve children’s education. It shows you where the priorities are for some of the teachers in the North Tonawanda Middle School.

What a lot of people forget is when the breadwinner goes to prison the whole family usually ends up on welfare and that costs the taxpayer. Unless that prisoner gets educated so he can get a job when he’s released, then they’ll all be on welfare. In the long run I think it’s worth it to just pay the $5,000 for a college degree.
