The Tonawanda News

Tonawanda News — Here we go again. A couple weeks ago St. Matthew advertised an activity which would serve beer. Last week’s paper has an ad for a ham raffle and free beer. All we hear about is guns, guns, guns. What about these organizations serving free beer, which helps to make drunk drivers. Just above the ad is a picture of a car going through the front door of a credit union as though they were parking in their garage. Beer ruined the Canal Fest, even though they had to pay for it. Let’s at least stop the free beer ads and keep a tighter check on seeing that underaged drivers are not allowed to buy beer or given free beer.

The amazing thing about the illegal aliens is they come to this country illegally and now they want to make them citizens. And they’re telling us what they want. I can’t believe we can’t vote on this.

If Bob Confer had his way, with everything imposing on one’s freedom, all the animals on the planet would be extinct and the Earth would be a polluted, barren wasteland.

The talk about gun violence in this country is getting a little ridiculous. Bloomberg in New York is telling people where to put cigarettes, what size soda you can drink, how much salt to use. Now they’re telling us what guns we can own. There’s the First Amendment, freedom of choice.

You keep crying about how broke our country is and how we have to borrow 49 cents of every dollar from China but Obama gets into office and gets his kids a dog for a pet. He’s not a very responsible parent. Now you have to spend all kinds of money for someone to walk the dog and feed the dog. Now we’re probably paying somebody $100,000 to walk the dog. He talks about spending and all he does is spend, spend, spend.

In response to Scott Leffler and his article on Hillary Clinton. I don’t think Hillary is defining marriage. I think she’s doing her job and wanting to vote on the right thing to do. If she doesn’t have the right to do this, neither does any other politician or governor. There isn’t one of them who hasn’t cheated on their wives or had illegitimate children. It’s been going on for far longer than the Clintons had their problem.

I see in the paper where the City of Tonawanda mayor gets a $10,500 raise next year, which he doesn’t deserve. A $500 raise would be enough and put the $10,000 toward the sidewalks and streets.

So Palin had more experience in her little finger than Obama had in his whole body? If you’ll recall, she was only governor because nobody wanted it. She had no real education. She was only governor for one year. And that’s really a lot of experience. She didn’t even know how to read a newspaper. How could you be so ignorant?
