Tonawanda News — On Oct. 1 if you do not have health insurance you will be able to get affordable coverage under the new health care law. Young people who are no longer on their parents’ insurance can also get health insurance. You never know when you will get seriously ill or have an accident. Now under Obamacare, you won’t have to worry about losing everything if something does happen. I am lucky, I have health care. I was going into my last year at NCCC for nursing and was diagnosed with a malignant bone tumor. I had four major surgeries. If I didn’t have insurance we would have lost everything. Sign up for health insurance, bad things do happen and you shouldn’t lose everything you have worked for if it does.

Gas prices are falling. By the end of the fall we could see $3 a gallon. I blame Obama.

Yes, I agree with the caller that the police need to do something about these people with the scooters riding in the street. Why, just last month I witnessed a person driving his riding lawnmower in the street (Division Street) to go to the local convenience store.

I hope the City of Tonawanda keeps the end of Young Street closed. It is a confusing intersection to start with and eliminating one street will not hurt anything. Also, it gives pedestrians one less street to cross.

I am not very familiar with what Obamacare is all about but something has to be done. I know families who are paying $700 and $800 every month for health insurance. These are hard-working people who want to work and provide honest care for their families. They have to go on welfare to provide for their families.
