Tonawanda News — Hey NT Dems, where are your new ideas?

Reading today’s paper in Sound Off about the water. Yes, I’ve called and complained about the water, the smell and the taste. I’ve complained for many years now. And it seems to just be getting worse. I don’t know if they got somebody down there who doesn’t know how to work that plant and make the water taste great or they just don’t care. But for what we pay for that stuff, I think it should be where we can drink it and not have to buy bottled water all the time. I’m getting tired of buying bottled water. But the water coming from there and the smell is ridiculous.

I see Mayor Pilozzi wants to spend nearly $1 million to build a gazebo down behind Tops market by those townhouses for those townhouse people. We didn’t even have enough money to build the gazebo in Clinton Park. We had to have fundraisers, bands had to play to get donations to come in because we didn’t have enough money to build the gazebo. But now Mayor Pilozzi has $914,000 to build the gazebo down for the townhouse people. I think it’s time to get rid of Mr. Pilozzi because he’s spending money like it’s growing on trees. Money doesn’t grow on trees.

Does the City of North Tonawanda send letters to all residents where kids play adjacent to their homes advising them that they are a liability to the city or just to the ones on my street because someone has an in at City Hall? Maybe the Tonawanda News should investigate!

Suspicious timing in NT politics. Donovan’s early “retirement” so Clark could be handed to be an incumbent in the election. Now Wojtaszek’s late “retirement” so it is too late for anyone to be able to run against him. Does it ever end?

To the caller spreading fear and lies about Obamacare, have you heard of facts? Do you only listen to Rush Limbaugh or Fox News? There are a number of health care plans for you to choose from in the Affordable Care Act. People are getting covered for the first time, which brings down costs for everyone. Is the caller so naive to think that they are not paying for the uninsured in this country? That is a huge reason why insurance costs are so high. Every time an uninsured person gets sick and they don’t have the money to pay for their care, it is passed on to the insured. I have to wonder why so many Republicans are against their neighbors having insurance for themselves and their families. Insurance shouldn’t be only for the lucky amongst us, it should be available to all. No one should go bankrupt if they get sick. Why is it that those with insurance are the ones who hate the idea of other families being able to afford it? It’s despicable!
