Tonawanda News — The roads in NT are in terrible shape. The lame attempt to patch them is worse than the potholes. I would love to give the mayor a ride on my route to work. Please spend every available penny in your budget to fix the roads. It is an embarrassment to this city to have the roads in this condition. Also when you finally get around to fixing them spend a few extra bucks and raise the manhole covers so they are flush with the road surface.

I’m an early morning shopper at Tops in N.T. I find it horrendous having to walk through clouds of cigarette smoke when entering the building. Tops employees (manager included) smoke within 20 feet of the only entry open prior to 7 a.m., thus making it very unpleasant for this non-smoker. Please, Tops N.T. personnel, if you read this post, please do something about it - I’m sure I’m not the only one offended by this lack of respect for a non-smoker.

Finally, I have a council person who puts community before their party. Thank you Council person Koch for your newsletter.

I wanted to give congratulations to the youth wrestlers from the Tonawandas for their placement in the NYWAY State Tournament in Syracuse on the weekend of March 15 and 16. The tournament brings together the best wrestlers in all of New York State to compete and find out who are the best wrestlers in the state. Tonawanda had five wrestlers place in the state tournament while North Tonawanda had three place finishers. These boys represented the Tonawandas well and should be congratulated on their achievements.
