Tonawanda News — It does seem that Mr. Saltarelli’s terrible comments about another Christian school offering to assist St. Francis is probably part of his political background and his need for grandstanding.

You must be a school teacher that made the statement about benefits. That was 40 years ago now get real and let the teachers pay for their health benefits like everyone else.

I wish Frank Cannata the best of luck. I believe North Tonawanda is losing an important piece of Webster Street. I have been so proud of the Riviera during Frank Cannata’s tenure. It was during that time I attended more shows at the Riv than ever before. Every time I went there with someone from outside of the Tonawandas, I had a feeling of community pride. The whole Frank Cannata story was something you see in movies. Frank needed a job and the Riviera board of directors needed someone with new direction and leadership. I am very sorry to see Frank Cannata leave and I hope the board of directors aren’t taking a step backwards. I am not really angry at either side, just disappointed.

What ever happened to Dr. Matthew Bennett who was arrested for illegally dispensing prescription drugs. It seems like last year it was all over the news and now there is nothing. A search of his name still shows his practice on River Rd.

I changed to just being a registered voter, not affiliated with a party, to eliminate all the party mailings and phone calls. I have medical problems and getting to the phone is work for me. I totally resent getting a phone call with a “private number” noted on the ID screen and getting a robo call from Senator Maziarz. Anything he has to tell us should be in the newspapers. Leave us alone in the privacy of our homes!
