Tonawanda News — Has anyone been watching “The Following” on Fox on Monday nights? That station must be desperate for ratings because they have really gone over the line with violence and gore. And after last night, and the two men kissing, we’ve had enough. If this is the kind of program the public wants, tell me what is next?

I don’t have to be a teacher to condemn a teacher. I can condemn anyone I want, if they’re doing the wrong thing. And you teachers are doing the wrong things and you know it. You’re only there for the pay and you don’t give a darn about the kids. You have no compassion. One out of 100 might. But most of you can’t wait to get out of the classroom. And if you’re there til’ two in the morning I don’t know what the heck you are doing there because no one else is there and I don’t know how you got in the building. I don’t know what you’re doing until two in the morning, but you ain’t teaching the kids.

I’m calling in regard to the person who said they know teachers that stay until seven at night and are up until two in the morning. I don’t know where you live but that sure as heck doesn’t happen around here. These teachers are leaving the school the second these kids are out of the classroom. I’ve tried calling my kid’s teacher plenty of times after school. It could be quarter to four and they are already gone. If you can tell me where these teachers live and show me proof I will believe you. Other than that I don’t believe you.

So the City of Tonawanda mayor is telling us what his plans are for the next year. Plans on building this and that. I want to hear his plans on holding the taxes down for at least one year. He has never done that for all the years he’s been mayor. He’s never done anything for the people, to make their lives a little easier. He has done nothing for the people.

I’m calling about the person complaining about the Christmas lights being up so long. I disagree. I think the lights should be up 365 days a year. The lights could change colors for Easter and Valentine’s Day. I think every house should be lit up. Get as many as you can to light up the Twin Cities. It’s quite beautiful and I think these people just don’t appreciate the beauty ofthese lights.

Watching TV you see all the Hollywood yuppies talking against guns. It still ain’t gonna do any good. All you’re gonna do now is create less jobs. Because now all these gun companies that make guns, are they going to make them and send them overseas? No they are going to end up laying people off. You’re going to just eliminate more and more jobs across the country and create more problems. Seems like they are using this gun thing to keep people’s minds off of where are the jobs we need.
