Tonawanda News — I wonder why Romney never brings up the $1.5 billion that we the taxpayers gave him so he he could “single-handedly” save the Salt Lake City Olympics. I guess it doesn’t make him look like the superhero he claims he was! Not surprising though, he doesn’t tell the truth about anything!

Is the Romney basher for real? Obama did not take responsibility for the Benghazi attacks for two weeks. He had his administration and Hillary claiming it was a video. In front of the UN he brought up the video six times but not once the terrorists. Now sadly we find that our ambassador was begging for more security but was denied. In real time they saw what was happening. In this day and age they could have had boots on the ground immediately and maybe four American lives would be saved. The day the bodies came home Obama made an appearance then jumped on Air Force One to Vegas for a fundraiser and an interview. And this writer thinks Romney would be worse. Please, give me a break

I hope the News will be watching the names of the new hires who are put on the fire department and police department. I sure will be. I am surmising that there is someone on the police department list connected with the Common Council or some other politician with juice and that is why the change from two firefighters to one.

You know why the water in NT looks and tastes like crap? We don’t have anyone leading the water or wastewater departments. The qualified people on the list are not of the correct political party: Republican. So we have the clerk/treasurer who knows nothing about these areas running the departments. Is that even legal? Does he have the proper license and credentials? Maybe the DEC or the EPA should know about this.
