Tonawanda News — Please tell me why all private companies are expected to do more with less every year. I was walking my dog around the block in Wurlitzer Park, and slipped on some ice. I found myself on my back, and didn’t have the energy to get myself up. It was the second time in the same night. Not everyone had shoveled their sidewalks, again. What’s with that? There was a youngster, 21-year-old Brian, that helped me up, and walked me and my little doggie home. I’m so grateful that a young lad would be so compassionate. Thank you Brian!

After attending the first of what I hope will be many New Years Eve Galas at the Tonawanda Castle, I wish to congratulate the owner of the castle, for the wonderful restoration of the old Armory on Delaware Ave. Those of us who attended had a very enjoyable New Years Eve.

Let me know if I’ve got this right. Mayor Pilozzi wants to privatize the garbage collection, and yet he’s going to keep all the city workers and not lay anyone off?
