Tonawanda News — Does someone want to tell Mark Schiller from City Mattress to give it up? Let a professional do the commercials. You’re so full of yourself Mark. I don’t think I’d buy a mattress because you’re so full of yourself. Give it up. Get a professional on there! Thank you.
I wonder if owners and workers in liquor stores have a conscience. I pray that they do, and if they don’t I pray that they get one.
Never again will I ever buy another building permit from North Tonawanda. If I knew I’d be harassed by the bureaucracy of it for over two years, I never would have bothered. This is what happens when you put a little money into your property to make it look nice. The city thinks you’re loaded and wants to suck you dry.
I hear many of the local, state, and federal politicians who are against any type of gun control complaining how the Second Amendment is being violated by the new gun laws and that politicians in favor of gun control are seizing on the Sandy Hook tragedy for political purposes. How about all the gun-loving elected officials being too afraid to do anything to protect the citizenry because their political careers are bought and paid for by the NRA? Isn’t that political? Unfortunately, it has to take a tragedy like this to finally do something. The right wing, gun-loving obstructionists try to stop everything when there are no events like this, so if it takes something like this to open people’s eyes, so be it! Use this event when you can to make real changes to protect people, not corporate gun lobbies. You still have your right to bear arms. You just don’t have a constitutional right to carry assault weapons that are just big boy toys. I saw the SCOPE meeting participants on TV the other evening. What I saw was a group of questionable looking men who sounded like backwoods yokels advocating for their guns. That is where the mental health requirement has to be stepped up.
