Tonawanda News — So you’re still arguing about the Canal Fest. So you had a shooting in 2003 and a stabbing in 2010. You have more of those things without the Canal Fest! So big deal! I never seen that. You always blame everything on the children. I blame the police because they harass the children and the children rebel. I have seen it over and over. I sit at Canal Fest and I see it. If you don’t want to have it, let NT have it. They don’t seem to have a big problem, or at least they don’t complain about it like Tonawanda. The heck with Tonawanda!

So the police are claiming they had a shooting, in 2002 or something, at the Canal Fest. That is an absolute lie. The shooting was at Delaware and Grove. It had nothing to do with the Canal Fest. But they will say anything to discourage the Canal Fest. They say we want it, but look at all the problems. Well if you’re having all these problems why are you having Canal Fest?

I do support Mayor Ortt and I intend to vote for him. But I most vehemently object to his comment that we must address our declining housing stock. I’d like to remind the mayor, the city council and all public employees that this is my home, not the city’s housing stock. It has nothing to do with the city. It is not, I repeat not, the city’s housing stock. It belongs to private individuals. So Mayor Ortt I do support you, but you must change your language.

King Obama is the reason gas prices are so high. He has decreed we need ethanol blend, which is made of corn. That’s why food prices are so high. He won’t let us build any new refineries, bring in oil from Canada or get our own oil. He wants us all to bow down and kiss his feet. I know God sure doesn’t bless king Obama, but the Democrats surely do.
