The Tonawanda News

Tonawanda News — CVS wants their workers to get themselves weighed. They’re infringing on their rights. If they don’t do it, they’ll have to pay a fine of $600. How can they make someone get on a scale and show everyone what they weigh? It’s discrimination against people. The government has taken over so much of our freedom.

I see the City of Tonawanda mayor is getting a raise. When they raise the minimum wage the politicians do it in increments, a quarter a year. I say give him $1,000 a year for the next 10 years. He shouldn’t get it all at once. If the poor people who make these businesses rich have to suffer, he should have to wait. And that was supposed to be a part-time job. Why is it a full-time job now?

We know the difference between debt and deficit. They’re the ones sounding the alarm bells. We understand what the debt is: What you don’t have in a year. The deficit is the accumulation of debt over a long period of time, going back and forth between Republicans and Democrats. Problem is Obama in four years added twice as much to the deficit as George Bush did. If you want to talk about who’s worse, you have to go with Obama. I’m not a fan of Rush Limbaugh but he clearly has an understanding of debt and deficit. Most Americans don’t and that’s why we’re in the problem we’re in.
