Tonawanda News — Calling regarding the individual who sounded off about Blue Cross and Blue Shield due to greed. I would just like to clarify something. The insurance company raises their rates due to increases in medical costs. Also, all the abuse that takes place from people abusing the insurance company causes the rates to skyrocket. That’s the only way the insurance companies can stay afloat is because of not only increases in cost but abuse of the system. Thank you. Get your facts straight.

I’d like to see the North Tonawanda council and school system put in the paper over the past 10 years the names of all the schools they closed. The amount of teachers, teachers’ aids, principals, groundskeepers, cafeteria people and schools they sold. How much money have they saved because they are not paying all these people. And how come our taxes have not gone down at all. Why are they still keep going up, school taxes? Every year, two percent, three percent, whatever. It’s a little ridiculous. When you close down so many schools and stuff that things don’t change. Where’s the money going? Are you getting fatter bonuses or what? Is someone pocketing it and lying to us like our government does?

Our city has been operating too much like Albany lately says Mr. Dubs. Whose in charge in Albany? The Safe Act? The transparent Andrew Cuomo affordable care act? Transparent Obama? Both of these acts pushed through in the dark of the night. Is this the transparency you mean Mr. Dubs? I color that opaque.

So the Tonawanda mayor is now gonna build a gazebo for several thousand dollars. Over a hundred thousand. Is that all he ever does with our tax money, keep building and building. If he says they’re grants well a little bit is grants, the rest the taxpayers are putting out. Buffalo built a gazebo, it didn’t cost them a thing. The kids from BOCES built a gorgeous gazebo. What do we need another gazebo for?
