Tonawanda News — I’m reading in the paper this education chief John King wants students in Buffalo who are failing so poorly to send the students to the suburbs. Does that mean we need to have them come into our little towns? They’re mostly immigrants and refugees. Do we really want that here in the Tonawandas? I think that’s a horrible idea. If they can’t learn there how can they learn here? Maybe they should have their own private schools to go to.

I have one question. When is the Meadow Drive extension supposed to start? I was under the impression it was supposed to start in June. I would really like an article in the paper for an update.

I can’t believe the Tops on Niagara Street has to block off their parking lot to charge people to park and go to the Canal Fest. They make so much money it is unbelievable and they really don’t need to charge people for that. They have that huge parking lot that’s always empty on the one whole side. They should leave it open for the residents who can’t walk to the Fest. It’s very greedy of them.

I find it absolutely ridiculous that when you call the North Tonawanda police department the phone doesn’t work. It’s been going on for months. Will the politicians please fix it?

I’m watching on cable about fracking. I don’t think people realize the government wants to profit from it. All they care about is the greed and the money. They want to ship it overseas and make big dough. I don’t know how they can look themselves in the mirror and say good morning to their grandkids they’re poisoning. If we destroy all the fresh water in our country what are you going to do?
