Tonawanda News — I would like to know who takes care of Mid-City Plaza and Tops parking lot and the parking lot at Mid-City Plaza. It is full of potholes when you go behind the M&T Bank there is a gigantic pothole there that you could lose your car in.

I’d like to know when the City of Tonawanda is going to do some work at the lower part of Hackett Drive from Hines down to Wheeler? It’s a bomb area. You knock your tires off your car. Wondering when they’re going to fill these potholes and level off the potholes they did fill. The railroad tracks at Hackett Drive are bumpy as hell. Your car bounces back and forth. Come on City of Tonawanda, do your job. The taxpayers deserve better.

The reason the NT Police Department is moving to SUV police cars is cause this little town gets the same bad Buffalo winters as the large towns.

I love seeing the Sound Off from the police officer or family member rationalizing why they deserve the excessive salary and benefits and pensions that are paid out by the city. Taxpayers have no problem with a fair salary and benefits. $100,000 a year and ridiculous pensions don’t cut it. That reflects the typical public employee attitude. Telling people to move who complain. To pass the tests given you surely don’t have to be a genius. What it takes is being part of the friends and family plan. Same friends and family consuming over decades from the same public money bowl.
