Tonawanda News — I think that large screen filters would help clean the Niagara River. When the water gets discharged out of Lake Erie and goes into the Niagara River, you can have filters up there, screen filters, and it doesn’t take any energy to run filters. You just have to lift the screens up out of the water and clean them, and then put the filters back down.

It would be nice if Artpark could get a really big star to perform there, someone like Paul McCartney, but I don’t see that ever happening.

It’s really simple, I put my garbage in my tote, I roll it out to the curb, and you know what, if there’s some room left over, help yourself.

I believe the reason that North Tonawanda uses Artpark for graduation ceremonies is because of the parking dilemma. If they had it at the high school, they probably do have the seating available, but they would need about three times the parking that they have. So I believe that’s the issue.

This is in regard to the person who left a Sound Off about the three screw-ups in the North Tonawanda DPW truck that flipped over. If you have three kids and only one makes a mistake, do you call all three of them screw-ups?

I don’t think that there should be any common core. I don’t think there should be any standards for teachers at all. I think they should be able to do anything they want, and the bad teachers, they can just keep being bad teachers.
