Tonawanda News — To the caller who asked for Zeisz’s resignation: I have been saying this for close to 10 years. There should be term limits in local government. He’s been in office for too long and has done nothing in the past 10 years.

So, they want to allow dogs to roam the entire park to get rid of the geese? All they are doing is replacing one nuisance wildlife that poops with another nuisance wildlife that poops. Get a dog park and restrict them to there.

Whoever’s in charge of North Tonawanda, please drive down Eighth Avenue between Oliver and Ironton. The road is deplorable and makes the area look like a ghetto. Can we, the residents of Eighth Avenue, be taken care of? You put a strip down the middle of the road 25 years ago and never came back to finish the job. Typical politics in this City of North Tonawanda.

Great to see the City of Tonawanda is finally allowing overnight parking. Speaking as a 24-year resident of the city and a 28-year resident of the town. Welcome to the 21st century people! Is the chief of police serious? I’ll bet 3,000 people per night park their cars on the street overnight in the town. I’d suspect 2,999 of them aren’t up to anything.

It’s ridiculous to hear the negative comments from some who are opposed to overnight parking. Relax. The world will not end. It’s great to see life come back to the city.

•••

Disappointed to see that Gilbert and Hall changed their votes for overnight parking. Why would they flip flop?

This is for all the people who have “Repeal the Safe Act” signs on their lawns. I’m sure you think the majority of people in New York agree with you, because the folks in your circle of friends and relatives all do. However, notice how many more of us do not have “Repeal the Safe Act “ signs. This is because we all agree that there must be sane limits on gun ownership and we support the Safe Act and hope that some day it will be strengthened. We just don’t want to identify ourselves to you because many of you are passionate on this issue and you are all armed. I am sure this Sound Off will inspire lots of responses from “gun nuts,” but it won’t change our minds.
