Tonawanda News — This is in response to the “Sound Off” that was about Eighth Avenue looking like the ghetto. Well part of the reason why looks like the ghetto is how horrible the street condition is. I would just love for some official to take a ride down all of Eighth Avenue from Gilmore to Ironton and just see how bad it is, it’s not something that can just be fixed by patching it. The whole road needs to be torn up and redone.

Just want to give a shout out to the North Tonawanda Police Department, they just nailed somebody else speeding down East Robinson using it as their exclusive drag strip. I have a tip for anybody who gets behind me when I’m traveling down East Robinson at 30 mph. Start out five minutes earlier and maybe you won’t be riding up my butt while I’m trying to obey the law.

I’d like to know why anybody at Mid-City Plaza cannot clean up the front of the Dollar Tree store and wash the windows, that place looks like a dilapidated store. It is getting so dirty, tons of cigarette butts, bottles on the ground, the windows are filthy, it looks like Buffalo. Have somebody clean it.

I’m so glad someone finally wrote about Bowen Drive past Master Street. I understood when the kids were little that the car parked across the driveway was a good idea, but there’s two cars on one side and one on the other side and it is getting dangerous. I would love to see them park somewhere else. I realize that is their street but it does obstruct the traffic.
