Tonawanda News — If the City of Tonawanda mayor is not going to build homes on Little League Drive, it would be nice if the city would build a dog park there. A lot of communities have them and why not?

NT should be looking into the Dollar Tree in Mid-City Plaza there. The windows, no body sweeps up cigarette butts. Kind of running that little area down. The mayor or somebody should just drive by and look at that place. The windows need to be cleaned. It’s just filthy. Something should be done about it.

The NT school system should start having a dress code. You start watching some of these kids today, looks like they’re out to play. They are wearing jeans with holes in them, or else they’re showing half their butt. They are wearing flip flops, just waiting for an accident to happen in school.

I’m calling in response to Legislator Hartwick’s announcement of the county’s repaving of Brighton Road from Niagara Falls Boulevard to Fries Road. The project should continue all the way to Delaware Avenue. The road, especially from Colvin Avenue to Delaware Avenue is atrocious. It needs immediate attention. If the county can not do it, the town should.

The person who called in to complain about assault rifles. That person must not even shoot a gun or hunt or go trap shooting or target shooting or doesn’t believe in having real fun. Probably sits in front of his computer all day or texting all day. Those assault guns that you complain about are really adjustable guns and are much lighter than a normal hunting rifle. You don’t need a gun to kill. You can use your car or a hammer or a baseball bat to kill.
