Tonawanda News — I’m glad to see they are fixing the road there at Ward and Payne Avenue but they should turn the machine around and go toward the funeral home and fix up the rest of the road. That’s the road that’s really bad. Or else they’re gonna wait for somebody to break something and file a lawsuit with the city. Fix the roads in NT.

I know the NT cops are always riding around sometimes doing stuff and sometimes doing nothing. But did you ever look at some of these cars lately with the registration sticker, they’re on the side of the window instead of being next to the inspection sticker like it should be. If that’s not legal why can’t someone do something about it.

Why don’t you do a story about Sheridan Drive? The hundreds of thousands of dollars they spent to put in new drains and everything. It’s flooding like crazy. I’ve been here 16 years. Send somebody down here to check it out. It’s flooded.

Wow, an NBA owner loses his team for life and gets banned for life but these senators and congressmen and judges walk free? What a country.

They found the guy’s body at Demler’s there from Cottage Street. But they never mentioned what happened to the dog? Did they find the dog? Did the dog go back home? If somebody knows, it would be nice to print it in the paper.

I just heard the complaint about the mayor not doing his job and posting to Facebook. I don’t know much about politics but I really feel the mayor is a good guy. I’ve made a lot of phone calls and complaints to him and he’s always at least listened to them and I’ve got results from him.

I completely agree with a veterans highway, having a son who is still in the active military service. I would only request that they leave the Vietnam off and name it after all veterans.

This is for Bob Confer and his question of where are the volunteers. Most people nowadays have to work more than one job to make ends meet because our country can’t keep up with the cost of living. It’s because this country’s so cheap and tight and don’t want to give people raises.

Just want to give another well-deserved shout to the City of Tonawanda police after these recent break-ins. You guys did another phenomenal job. Thank you, guys.

I see where the Tonawanda school board wants a 2.55 percent increase, about $29.52 per year. They say we will get a refund from the state. Is this a check they will send us or will they take it off of what income tax we owe? If you don’t pay income tax, will they send you a check?
