Tonawanda News — We called back in April and now it’s May and the Dollar Tree store at Mid-City Plaza is just as nasty looking as ever. Couple extra cigarette butts, windows are worse, the sidewalk. The manager just walks around like it’s nothing. Maybe someone in NT can do something about it.

When are these horrible roads around North Tonawanda going to be fixed? This is ridiculous. It's 2014, you'd think by now someone could come up with a better tar to handle the weather.

It's nice to see that the photographer who takes the pictures for the Saturday Tonawanda News is now focusing on some of nature, beautiful trees by the river. There are so many wonderfully, natural pictures for him to take. I don't know why he's been focusing on the birds. The gulls, the geese who are nothing but a nuisance as they are pecking away at each other or at food. I, for one, do not like those pictures. I would like to see more nature portrayed by this photographer who seems to have a penchant for birds.

North Tonawanda already employs teachers, aides, resource room attendants, social workers, counselors and now we have hired prevention specialists. Can we just have our children be taught in the six hours a day while they're in school. And have the social workers and prevention specialists work somewhere in their own field so we don't have to be taxed to the maximum. The other stuff needs to be in a separate organization. Vote these things down in your budget people in NT.

There's two gigantic potholes on Carr Street and the city hasn't filled them in yet but they've filled in other areas. They are getting bigger every day. Do we have to lose a car before the city does something about it?
