Tonawanda News — This is a reply to the person inquiring about the dog from the NT man found in Demler’s Pond after being missing 30 days. The Tonawanda News article on April 30 at the very end indicated the “dog has not been found.” I try to match lost and found pets. There was a dog recently spotted by Witmer/River Road that we thought could’ve been Sandy. The missing dog is a 12-year-old gentle Rott with bad hips, cloudy eyes, golden eyebrows, golden cheeks, white chin. If anyone should see a dog like this, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I have a way of reuniting Sandy with the owner’s girlfriend.
OK people, it’s the middle of May, get your grass cut. I live in the City of Tonawanda, it’s the same people with snow, they don’t shovel. Why do you own a house?
Has anyone noticed that the boats in the water at Gateway are only on the North Tonawanda side? That’s because again, the Tonawanda side has no power or water turned on. This weekend promises to be a busy one with boaters from Canada coming over for their holiday weekend. Without services, which boaters pay for, where are they going to stay? When is the mayor or a city official going to make the call and have a crew come down to the canal and get things going? How hard can it be? Have we lost sight of the fact that Gateway is the entrance to one of the best waterways in America, and Tonawanda is the host? Providing boater services to visitors from all over the world is your responsibility.
