Tonawanda News — I am baffled as to why the Tonawanda city council would pass the Canal Fest contract requiring the city to provide a detailed account of expenses so Canal Fest doesn’t pay them a penny too much. But they don’t require Canal Fest to provide them with a detailed accounting of the so-called lost revenue they are claiming due to the 10 p.m. closing time on Tonawanda’s side. They provide enough bullying, saying vendors and ride providers may not return because of it, how about putting some proof behind their words. If Canal Fest is so concerned with the ride provider not returning because of the 10 p.m. closedown, why not move the midway to NT’s side and the beer tents to Young St.? Simple enough solution.

Here we go again, the government lying and the VA lying. Having patients wait out the time so they die before they’re taken care of? Who’s going to pay for the lawsuits? Who’s going to be held responsible. Somebody should go to jail.

You see how they’re getting down on this guy because he’s a gay football player. What would they do if they got all the gay football players together, put together one team and they won? What would these people have to say then, these macho guys who say “you’ve got to be a man.” What would they say then? Get over it, they’re people too.

Have you motorcycle drivers totally forgot what you learned in your safety courses? The other day I was accelerating up to the posted speed. I had what they describe as a “crotch rocket” behind me who also sounded like he was having trouble accelerating. Once we got up tot he speed limit it sounded like he was stuck in a higher gear. This seems to be an issue with these types of motorcycles. Once you get your license you hide behind this “watch out for motorcycles” clause.
