Tonawanda News — I really hope next year the people in the city remember that Alderman Gilbert voted against Canal Fest. Luckily the rest of the council supported Canal Fest. I hope I see him at Canal Fest so I can call him a hypocrite. He doesn’t support Canal Fest, parking on Young Street, or the school district. What does he support?

I see the rock concerts are back at Gratwick Park. What a waste of money. Bringing in undesirables. Great economic impact to the city-that is a joke! I guess the NT politicians want to waste taxpayers’ money by subsidizing these concerts with police overtime and public services. Remember what happened in Lockport? The promoter made out like a bandit and the taxpayers suffered. The peanuts being paid for tickets doesn’t come close to covering the cost to the city. Is there some type of agreement so the taxpayers don’t get soaked!

What a wonderful choice for lieutenant governor! When Kathy Hochul was our congresswoman, she did more for individual constituents in the time she served than her predecessors and certainly more than her replacement will ever do. She serves all of us, not just the well-heeled. The little guys are just as important to Kathy Hochul as are the heads of big business. She is a refreshing choice, a good choice. She resolved several matters for us, the current idiot doesn’t even acknowledge written or phoned requests. Perhaps New York will one day benefit from Kathy Hochul as governor.

I would like to thank my neighbor for coming to my aid and cutting my lawn for me. I am in a wheelchair and can not do it anymore. I looked out to see who was cutting it and saw someone that I did not recognize. My other neighbor told me that was her neighbor.  I would like to thank them for their help in a time of need.
