Tonawanda News — To the City of Tonawanda homeowners: don’t let our elected officials sell us out with the proposed town house development. Why do they want to “give away” the land for a paltry price. And, why are they “giving away” our tax dollars to those homeowners while the rest of us pay 100 percent? Why are we going to subsidize them? Why should we make it easier for the builder to use that as a selling point? And, then we are going to have to pay for new sewer/drainage systems in the Fourth Ward to accomodate 53 more homes! How many millions of dollars is that going to cost US? Supposedly, the developer is only going to pay the infrastructure within the development. (Also) we are selling/sold schools ... how much is it going to cost us to buy them back/build new ones? How safe is anyone going to be walking through the park or even just trying to cross the street from the parking lot to enjoy the park with that huge amount of added traffic? And they insult our intelligence by trying to make us believe that this project is good for us and going to make us money? Are you kidding? It’s going to cost us plenty. Please attend the council meeting Tuesday, Aug. 27, at 7 p.m., at Tonawanda City Hall about this matter. It’s urgent for our city’s well-being.

Will someone in NT enforce the sign ordinance? Every organization is sticking obnoxious signs between the sidewalk and curb, which to my understanding is part of the roadway. Now the politicians like our city attorney Nickerson, who should know the law, is doing the same thing. To all of you: follow the law.
