Tonawanda News — To the person calling about Niawanda Park, he says dogs aren’t allowed to be in the park and it’s goose poop. He’s wrong. I live near the park and there’s people walking their dogs and letting them poop all the time. Just because it’s not allowed doesn’t mean it’s not happening. I live there. It’s happening every day.

I’ve been reading about the wildfires in the west. These wildfires were never a big deal until Barack Obama took office. Many of the luxury homes in these areas are owned by staunch Republicans. Are these staunch Republicans being targeted by having these wildfires started?

I read a couple articles about Blake Boyle, the second ward alderman. He’s been the alderman for 12 years and I can’t see where anything has been done by him. Jackie Smilinich is running against him in a primary. I don’t know who would be worse. Blake, I went to the council meetings and he insults people and Jackie was the president of the school board and they raised the taxes. I really don’t know who to vote for. I wish someone could give me some insight on that.

I sure want a full time mayor running the city who is hard-working, caring and honest. I know on primary day, I’ll be voting for Ron Pilozzi. I hope the other independent voters do the same. He’s done a lot for the city but he keeps getting put down. If I was going to put anyone down it would be the common council. It’s sad when the only councilman who knows what he’s doing is Blake Boyle.
