Tonawanda News — I would personally like to thank Barbara Tucker for the job she did. I was trying to find volunteers in the Tonawandas. Her response was very quick and very thorough. I just wanted to thank her again.

Couldn’t former President Bush change the date for his library dedication? And if not, why couldn’t former presidents Bushes, Clinton and Carter fly in Air Force One from Dallas, Texas, to West, Texas, for the memorial service for the victims of the terrible explosion at the fertilizer plant. I hope this was not politics.

I wonder why the contestants on “Jeopardy!” are always all the same height?

In regards to Syria, I wonder how much they’re going to pay America to stick our noses in their business. Let Iraq and Afghanistan and Russia help Syria. Why does the United States and United Nations always have to do it? I think the United States should just stay out of it this time.

I see where all the bands and entertainment have been established in Niagara County and North Tonawanda. In the City of Tonawanda there is absolutely no form of entertainment. What’s going on? It’s the most boring place there is.

It’s 2 a.m. Remember when traffic lights used to be put on flash that aren’t at major intersections. That doesn’t exist anymore. Now you have traffic lights changing when there’s no traffic around. I thought those traffic light went out 20 years ago. Interesting. That light at Niagara Falls Boulevard goes red for 20 or 30 seconds. My approach is to slow way down so I don’t have to use my brakes. Interesting, why is it changing when no one is around?

The reason you never heard of a trillion dollar debt is because you never paid attention to what Bush was doing.

So once again I’m trying to exit off of the Twin City Highway onto Division Street at the East Robinson exit and have a near crash. I think I am right in saying that I have the right of way for both Division Street lanes due to the two yield signs and arrows marked on the pavement? So why is it that people on Division Street at the time have to lay on their horns and proceed to finger motion me that I’m No.1. Who can clarify this problem as to who has the right of way to avoid a mishap, this situation occurs a lot. Thank you.

All you City of Tonawanda voters, when it comes time for the mayor election, let’s not forget all the policemen who’ve gotten millions of dollars in compensation for the city and they still get. Let’s not forget what’s happened in this city over the last few years who’s been there for all that’s happened. Let’s not forget. Vote for the other guy.

Two of the candidates for the The Ken-Ton School Board have saturated the Town of Tonawanda and Village of Kenmore with expensive, professionally made signs. The board should reveal who paid for them. If it was a Teacher’s Association the voters have a right to know. The new budget calls for additional new buses. There is no reason for the school system to also be running a bus company. Time to start cutting costs.
