Tonawanda News — When will politicians really start planning rather than living budget to budget? They pat themselves on the back because taxes didn’t go up. But do they really have a plan for the future beyond the next budget? I doubt it because they’re not educated in running a $36 million enterprise. Andres says he saved money moving police dispatch but what will his stance be in the county when he is working on that budget and a proposal comes for additional money to pay for the service? That will be an interesting call and one that I know will come up probably as early as next county budget that he will be a part of. This mayor and council isn’t the answer nor were any of the other candidates because nobody has any public administration knowledge to make the right plans.

Nice to see the article on the water line updates on Tremont Street. What the article failed to point out is that this project was approved under former Mayor Soos as he lobbied Assemblyman Schimminger for the funding to assist DeGraff Hospital’s and the water pressure problem in that area. Reporter Regan has to start doing some research instead of getting spoon fed information by the Ortt regime. Why did it take so long to get this project moving?

I agree with the two recent callers. I used to watch “Ask the Mayor” on cable but stopped when our mayor showed his condescending attitude to a lifelong resident who called in to “Ask the Mayor.”
