Tonawanda News — Here it is 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 30, and the small amount of snow we got last night is starting to melt and I counted the NT plows going by at least eight times in the last hour. Is this necessary? All they are doing is scraping the bare road. Is it that they are trying to rack up some overtime?

So Robin Schimminger wants to change the name of the Twin City Memorial Highway? Really? What’s wrong with the name it has? Leave it alone.

In reference to the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, I can’t understand why any Navy submarine was not used to search the deep waters in the areas specified. Why are they only skimming the top of the water for pieces of wreckage? You would think all possible vessels could search especially under the water — nothing was ever mentioned as to why a submarine was not considered for the search.

OK all Wheatfield seniors, now get the word out and vote down the budget in May. Enough with these school budgets. Every year it goes up. What’s wrong with this? Cut teachers’ benefits and let them know how we feel. If they want sports, then pay to play for parents. They did it before, let’s reinstate it.

Eighth Avenue from Oliver to Ironton Street looks like a ghetto. Cars parked on lawns blocking sidewalks so you have to walk in the street. Come on NT let’s clean it up or it will get worse. Could NT police issue tickets for violations? Totally disgusting for the community. Clean it up.
