Tonawanda News — Build the ice rinks and they will come.

I live in the First Ward and I hope Alderman Gilbert votes for the red lights cameras. It will be the first and last time I vote for him.

So the NT Board of Education wants to install artificial turf on the football field? Who are we going to have on our four game home schedule? The Bills? The Pats? The Fins? Or the Jets? While you're at it NT board, why not include back rests and cushioned seats for the spectators? Get real. Spend the money on improving the quality of education which may benefit all the students.

Why don't the police patrol the speeders around the high school after school? It's like a drag race everyday. Kids are always speeding out of the high school parking lots through a 20 mph school zone down Meadow. This needs to be stopped before someone gets hurt!

•••

I for one hope the red light cameras pass in the city. I will call Mayor Pilozzi's office, I mean Mayor Davis and ask who is running City Hall? Ron Pilozzi or Mayor Davis? Then when Alderman Gilbert's term is up, I will call his opponent and offer to help. Wake up elected officials this is a money grab. I wanted change in this city. Not the same old people controlling the city.

The idea of putting artificial turf on our football field is absolutely ridiculous. We put these people on the school board to help save us money, not spend more money. These kids are supposed to go to school to learn, not just play. Get with it, North Tonawanda. Tell the school board what you think of them.

It is interesting the newspapers and other media have not spent any time to speak of reporting the most despicable comments Gov. Cuomo has made regarding conservatives in this state. He has called conservatives extremist becuase they don't believe in gun control or pro choice and they're all gay haters. Gov. Cuomo doesn't realize people who have been here for five and six generations have used their guns to protect themselves. They're also repsonsible for having children in this state. And they're not homosexual haters. They just don't believe taking away the sanctity of marriage is helpful for our country.
