The Tonawanda News
Tonawanda News — I think it’s a little ridiculous the president and his wife are going to Texas for the memorial for the explosion at the fertilizer plant. It’s a little expensive for a country that borrows 49 cents on the dollar. Why can’t he send a representative? Or do it by Internet, people to people. It’s getting a little ridiculous the way he just throws money away and hangs out with movie stars. And has concerts in DC on our dime. He ought to pay for it out of his own pocket if he wants to do this stuff. It should be voted on, not his choice.
Did you happen to hear Obama’s speech at the church in Boston? He was speaking to the media about the marathon bombing. Totally inappropriate! He sounded like he was a gym teacher at a pep rally. I think even the poor people in the church were befuddled by Obama’s speech. Mark my words; he will have this terrorist that lived made out to be a victim and a hero before too long. Mark it down.
April 23 is the big day. The lawnmower man is back in action at Tonawanda City Hall. He can’t wait to cut the nice green grass all the way down to the dirt already this season. Can somebody please talk to him about going right down to the dirt.
Several years back speculators pushed the price of a barrel of oil to over $140. The result was gasoline prices blossoming to $4 a gallon. We were outraged. Now a barrel of oil has fallen to $88. Isn’t it great to know the price of gasoline has dropped more than 20 cents. A 50 percent drop in the cost of oil. A 5 percent drop in the cost of gasoline. I guess big oil does run this country.
I’m calling in regards to the person who called up and says mayor Pilozzi is a good mayor and does stuff for the people. I have to disagree. I think it’s time to get rid of mayor Pilozzi and everybody on the Common Council. It’s time to get new blood in there. So people I remind you, come November, vote everyone out of office in the City of Tonawanda.
