Tonawanda News — To the person who wrote or called in about the person who wanted teachers’ names posted that didn’t pass the evaluation, etc. You are 100 percent right on. There are kids in Tonawanda who have already missed more than 50 percent of their school days and even more classes and, when they do show up, they’re very disruptive in school. Mr. DuVall praises Obama and says he is doing the right thing by wanting the debt ceiling raised and the Dems have made it clear it should be in his power alone. Senator Obama and most of the Dems said no to raising the debt ceiling twice under Bush saying it just wasn’t right. Candidate Obama called Bush unpatriotic for taking out a charge card from China in our childrens name and calling him shameful. Did I mention that this was almost $6 trillion less than our debt is now under this administration? Why doesn’t the press fact check what Obama says?

Mr. Confer, stop talking about how awful the government is when you receive subsidies from it! I guess as long as you are a large business you deserve welfare. But, if you are someone who is having a bad time, you are on your own. Hypocrite, plain and simple! I am so sick of corporations saying “I built it” all the while receiving huge subsidies from the big awful government. Corporate welfare is welfare. Let’s drop the holier than thou bull!
