Tonawanda News — The Buffalo public schools have hired two people to handle public relations for the district at a cost of over $200,000 a year. How many teachers and how many supplies could be paid for? Instead, we’re looking at public relations? Are you kidding me. And people wonder why our children can’t get a good education.

As long as there are guns out there there are going to be crazies who get their hands on them and kill people.

I agree with Mr. Davis. I don’t see where Mr. Pilozzi has done a thing except raising taxes. They were low but he kept raising the taxes and the sewer and water bills.

•••

So now they’ve voted to take back food stamps from poor people. That’s not wasting money. It’s the politicians that steal taxpayers’ money. It’s not the poor people. If they stop stealing and overtaxing people, why are they taking money from poor people? I think they need to get rid of these politicians.

I see the same old politicians everybody voted back into office are doing the same thing. Now they’re threatening to shut down the government. I advise you people, go out and vote all these politicians back into office.

Just read the Sound Off about Jackie Smilinich being the best person. The best person if you want your taxes raised. Remember, 5.1 percent school tax increase in two years. Let’s see if you print that, Tonawanda News. And negativity? Who’s the only one who ran a negative campaign in the Second Ward? Jackie Smilinich. You won’t print this because you only print what the Dems want you to print.

Barb Tucker needs to get her facts straight. Nobody is sitting three turns of the traffic signal on Young Street. It’s being constantly monitored. Because one individual calls in and says he had a problem, it’s not a fact.
