Tonawanda News — Now that the national Republicans have soundly demonstrated their arrogance toward the people of our country, NT voters should keep that in mind with our one-party stranglehold on city government.

The Town of Tonawanda had one political party in control as long as I can remember. Well the Republicans made the town what it is today. Now all the Democrats are leaving Buffalo and took control of town politics. They screwed up Buffalo now they want to do the same in the Town of Tonawanda.

This is about parking lots at Tops on Meadow Drive and Niagara Street in Tonawanda, and especially to the senior citizens who threatened to make me handicapped after calling me some choice words in front of my elderly mother who is handicapped. People backing out of parking spaces have the obligation to look carefully in both directions to make sure the coast is clear. You, sir, did not. If you would have hit me it would have been your fault. You should have pulled out just far enough to be able to see in both directions. Then after determining that no one was coming in either direction you could have pulled out. There are no markings for yield or stop, so therefore, cars driving from the gas pumps towards the front of Tops have the right of way. Drivers yield to the car on the right. Last Saturday, I witnessed some severe road rage at the Tops on Meadow Drive and the driver just smiled and waved.

It’s quite funny people are saying Rick Davis is attacking the mayor. I haven’t heard Mr. Davis say one bad thing about him. I will tell you that I’ve seen people close to and associated with the mayor attacking Mr. Davis. Sounds like some people are scared to lose their cushy political positions in the city.
