Tonawanda News — •••

For the residents of North Tonawanda, there are thousands of receivers in the roads in our neighborhoods. They collect the water and take it down to the sewers during a heavy storm. If you have one in front of your house it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out if it’s plugged up with leaves the water won’t go down and your area will flood. The city workers are doing their best but they can’t go clear all of them when it rains. Help a neighbor. I did and cleaned several of them.

They want to cut Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security to help with their spending. Why don’t they put a cut on payroll for Congress, the senators and the president. Especially the security guards.

A question I’d like to ask city officials: Whose idea was it to cut down all those trees on Webster Street? It looks barren. At least it covered up some of the buildings that don’t look the best. Also, how about Christmastime, who’s going to put up the decorations? Please, can someone let me know?
