TRACK & FIELD: THS hosts annual elementary meet

More than 200 students from grades three through six put their athletic ability on display Monday at the 33rd annual Tonawanda City Schools Elementary Track Meet.

The meet took place at the Tonawanda High School track.

Elementary and middle school physical education staff coordinated the competition.

Event winners received trophies, and all participants received placement ribbons.

Among the double event winners at the meet were Tonawanda Middle School sixth-graders Tristan Boling and Jon Tabor.

Tristan won the boys half-mile run in 3:13, while Tabor took the 100-yard dash in 12.1 seconds.

The two teamed up with Jason Williams and Tyler Smith to win the boys 400 relay in 1:00.

For the girls, Tonawanda Middle School sixth-grader Paige Hill earned the title of fastest girl, winning the 100 dash in 13.3 seconds.
