High School Sports: Shotwell brothers lead Bulldogs to golf win

Tony Polk had eight kills and four assists for the Wolverines (1-0 NFL) in the 25-21, 25-18, 25-21 win, while Leah Geis led the Vikings (0-1) with four aces and six digs.

Nia.-Wheatfield 3, Lockport 2

Kelsey Yeates dished out 26 assists while hitting three aces, Kalie Sonnenberg notched 13 kills and Bailey Selemi added eight kills for the Falcons (1-0 NFL), with sets scoring 19-25, 25-23, 25-16, 23-25 and 25-20. Jordyn Kwoka had 13 assists while Brittany Sanford added nine blocks and nine kills for the Lions (0-1).


Niagara Falls 3, Lew-Port 2

Madison Dalporto and Natalie Manning combined to win the deciding three-set doubles match for the Wolverines (1-0 NFL). Brittany Mezhir and Madison Lindsay won singles matches for the Lancers (0-2).

North Tonawanda 5, Grand Island 0

Gretchen Ringler, Jessica Robins and Samantha Kennedy swept singles for the Lady Jacks (1-0 NFL). The Vikings drop to 0-1.

Pairings of Sam Dworzanski and Meghan Breier, and Megan Tozinelli and Christine Thomas swept doubles for the Falcons (1-0 NFL). Audrey Filey and Sarah Caputi took singles victories for the Blue Devils (0-1).

Ken East 3, Lockport 2

Celina Wozniak and Sarah Crissy won first and second singles for the Bulldogs (2-0 NFL). Dalaney Fragale took third singles for the Lions (0-1).
