After a week’s rest, Tonawanda pitcher Nick Pullo threw a complete game in Tonawanda’s 11-1 victory over league foe Cleveland Hill on Monday afternoon.

Pullo was in the zone, striking out 13 batters while only allowing six hits to helps the Warriors move to 7-1 in ECIC IV. 

“Pullo was coming off a weeks rest,” said Tonawanda coach John Frank. “He was in control pretty much the whole game. He ate up some innings. It helps give our arms a needed break.” 

Offensively, Jared Zellner went 2 for 4 with 4 RBIs, including a three-run home run.

“He’s been on fire all year, Frank said. “He’s hitting close to .500 on the season.” 

Lockport 15, North Tonawanda 6

Nick Baron went 1 for 3 with a double, a walk and a run scored, while Devon Johannas and Taylor Mellott each added a hit for the Lumberjacks (1-9 NFL). Lockport remains atop the league at 9-1.

Canisius 6,  St. Joe’s 2

Richard Miller pitched a complete game for Canisius, picking up the win. 


Lockport 5, North Tonawanda 4  

Shannon Krywcun accounted for three of the five runs and added a RBI for the Lions (5-6 NFL). NT drops to 1-10.

Cleve Hill 18 Tonawanda 5

Sydney Nyers was 3 for 3 with two runs scored, while Alex Tyler went  2 for 4 with three RBIs and a run scored for the Warriors (0-8 NFL). 


Nia.- Wheatfield 16, Tonawanda 4

Zach Dubuck had four goals and five assists while Mitch Pitman added three goals and one assist for the Falcons (8-4).

St. Francis 13, St. Joe’s 12

Tyler McTigue had the game-winning goal for the Red Raiders.  Alex Misterman also added three goals and three assists. 


Niagara Falls 10, North Tonawanda 9

Jazzman Pfaffenberger scored four goals and Maddi Chille added a hat trick for the Wolverines (2-8, 1-6) in a game played under the lights at Niagara University. Brooke Spanbauer made 14 saves in the win, while Karley Herberger scored four goals for the Lady Jacks.
