A performance by the Lockport schools’ Woodwind Quartet directed by Eileen Brusino will be the highlight at the annual dinner meeting of the Historical Society of the Tonawandas on Nov. 18 at First United Methodist Church, 65 Main St., North Tonawanda. Trick-or-treating will take place in the City of Tonawanda from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Halloween. Having costumed children out after dark can be a dangerous proposition, making it important that citizens take the necessary precautions. Making sure flashlights are working properly, pre-plan the route and making sure to cross only at corners can be the difference between a great and a disastrous holiday, the mayor said.
