Moose Lodge hosts sportsman’s raffle today
The annual sportsman’s raffle will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. today at the Moose Lodge 2163, 75 Washington St., North Tonawanda.
Prizes include assorted firearms and a sportfishing charter for three people. Free food and refreshments will be offered.
Tickets are $10 and all are welcome.
Parachute Group offers career help at YWCA
The Parachute Group, a networking group for individuals who are in career or job transition or have lost their jobs and would like to meet with individuals who are in the same situation, will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the YWCA of the Tonawandas, 49 Tremont St., North Tonawanda.
Guest speakers share tips and ideas. There are no fees or dues and registration is not required. Men and women are welcome.

NTHS class of ‘68 plans 40th reunion
The North Tonawanda High School Class of 1968 will celebrate its 40th year reunion on June 7.

Musical, magical event planned at DADC
Debbie and Rich Derwald will present a musical, magical performance at 1:15 p.m. Thursday at DeGraff Adult Day Care, 82 Mead St., North Tonawanda.
The couple have performed in many area nursing homes and are well known for their unique vocal arrangements.

United Veterans Council schedules meeting
United Veterans Council of the Tonawandas will meet at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Vietnam Chapter No. 77, 57 Main St., City of Tonawanda.
All are encouraged to attend.
KENMORE
Libraries offer preschool story hours
Registration is under way for preschool story hours offered at the Ken-Ton public libraries.
At 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays from April 29 to May 27, a story hour will be offered at Kenmore branch library, 160 Delaware Road.
At 6:30 p.m. Wednesday from April 30 to May 28, a story hour will be offered at Kenilworth, 318 Montrose Ave., Town of Tonawanda.
Children must be 3 1/2 by the start of the first session No kindergartners allowed.
Registration is necessary and can be made by calling Kenmore library at 873-2842 or Kenilworth at 834-7657 or stop by either library.
‘Blue-Green Initiative’ focus of program
An Earth Day program will take place at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the meeting of the Improvement Initiative Group in the office of Erie County Legislator Michele Iannello, 9 Euclid Ave., Kenmore.
Art Klein, a member of the -group and of the Sierra Club, will talk on “Blue-Green Initiative” and the alternatives such as wind and solar energy.

Victorian dancers perform in Sanborn
The Victorian Dance Society will perform Victorian dances at the meeting of the Sanborn Area Historical Society on Tuesday at the Sanborn Fire Hall on Buffalo Street.
A potluck dinner begins at 6 p.m. followed at 7 p.m. by a meeting and entertainment.
The public is invited to the free event.
Spaghetti dinner benefits Autistic Services
The 30th annual spaghetti dinner to benefit Autistic Services Inc. will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Ellicott Creek Fire Hall, 45 South Ellicott Creek Road, Amherst.
Tickets are $7, $6 seniors, $5 children ages 4 to 10 and free for children under age 3.
To order “to go” dinners, call 631-5777 by Wednesday and dinners will be ready to be picked up.
A basket raffle, mascots and door prizes will also be featured.
