Garage sale benefits scholarship fund
A garage sale to benefit the Elliott Golach Memorial Scholarship will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at St. Matthew’s Church pavilion, 875 Eggert Drive, North Tonawanda.
A bake sale and hot dog lunch will be available for purchase. All proceeds go to the scholarship fund.
Entertainment set at DADC
DJ Johnny K Sound System will entertain with karaoke at 1 p.m. Monday at DeGraff Adult Day Care, 82 Mead St., North Tonawanda.
The event is open to the public. To reserve a place, call 694-7662.
KENMORE
Dinner benefits summer youth camp
A spaghetti dinner, an Episcopal Youth Event, will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Church of the Advent, 54 Delaware Road, Kenmore.
Proceeds will benefit the youth summer camp.
Tickets are $7, $5 for children age 10 and under.

Quilters Guild schedules show, sale
“Garden of Quilts” is the theme of the Amherst Museum Quilters Guild quilt show which is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Saturday and 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the museum, 3755 Tonawanda Creek Road, Amherst.
At 3 p.m. Sunday, quilted items donated by guild members will be auctioned off by guest auctioneers, MaryAlice Demler and Kevin O’Neil.
Proceeds will support the guild’s educational programs.
Open house shows off senior complex
ElderWood Crestwood Commons patio homes and apartments will host an open house from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 100 Crestwood Court off Witmer Road, Wheatfield.

Dougherty grads plan reunion
Graduates of all classes from the former Cardinal Dougherty High School are invited to attend an informal order-off-the-menu stag supper at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Tom’s Family Restaurant, 3221 Sheridan Drive, Amherst.

Host families sought for program
Host families are being sought to host high school students from countries of the former Soviet Union through ASSE International Student Exchange.
The students have received scholarships through the U.S. State Department and will spend an academic year in the United States.
