AARP plans Chinese auction, book sale
North Tonawanda AARP Chapter 3526 will host its annual Chinese auction at noon Tuesday at Sikora Post, 950 Payne Ave., North Tonawanda.
A book sale will also be featured.
Members are asked to bring canned goods, non-perishable items or personal care products for the food pantry.
VBS scheduled at Fair Havens Church
A Vacation Bible School is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon July 21 to 25 at Fair Havens Church, 7337 Ward Road, Wheatfield.

Bugs topic of guest storyteller at library
A guest storyteller will present buggy stories, activities and crafts from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday at the North Tonawanda Public Library, 505 Meadow Drive.
This buggy program is for children in grades one to three.

Free cancer screenings available
The Healthy Living Partnership of Niagara County offers free breast, cervical and colorectal cancer screenings to individuals who have limited or no health insurance.
Mammograms are available to women age 40 or older, or under the age of 40 who are at high risk for breast cancer.
Clinical breast exams, pap smears and pelvic exams are available to women 18 years and older.
Men and women aged 50 or older are offered free fecal occult blood test kits and colonoscopies.
