Stress relief night offered at Kohler Pool
Community stress relief night at Kohler Pool will be celebrated in Hawaiian style from 6 to 7:50 p.m. July 22 at Kohler Pool, on Kohler Street, City of Tonawanda.
Hosted by the Tonawanda recreation department, the event offers a relaxing evening by “Kohler Ocean” at a Hawaiian luau.
The free community event will include fun events such as the sounds of the islands, beach ball, hula and limbo contests and relaxing poolside.
All are welcome.

Meet Harry Potter’s owls at library
Harry Potter’s Owls, a presentation by Hawk Creek Educational Center, will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the North Tonawanda Public Library, 505 Meadow Drive.
Meet three of England’s fascinating owls first hand and hear their myths and realities discussed in a program with all the trimmings a Harry Potter fan could want.
Catch the Reading Bug Club participants may pick up their second free RIF book beginning on this day. Bring your reading records to receive your book.
Rummage sale set at senior center
A rummage sale has been scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the North Tonawanda Senior Citizen Center, 110 Goundry St.
The public is invited.

Yoga added to YMCA camp program
The Ken-Ton Family YMCA has added yoga during this year’s nine-week summer camp program.
Throughout the summer, children will be able to attend yoga classes and swim lessons as part of the camp program. Both are included at no additional fee
The YMCA offers free extended hours as well as financial assistance for those that qualify and accepts third party payments through the Department of Social Services.

Police club plans summer picnic
The Town of Tonawanda Police Club’s annual summer picnic will take place from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Lincoln Arena, 1200 Parker Boulevard and Decatur Avenue, Town of Tonawanda.
Tickets are $25 and include live music, raffles, beer, pop, clams, Ted’s hot dogs and a steak dinner.
Tickets available at the door or at police headquarters.
Taxi service will be available.

Eye health seminar set at Wynwood
A seminar on eye health presented by the Optical Store will take place from 10:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Wynwood Kenmore Assistive Living, 2971 Delaware Ave., Kenmore.
