Preschoolers invited to their own program
Preschoolers ages 3-5 are invited to enjoy, on their own, “Quiet, Hungry, Busy, Grouchy,” a program with Eric Carle favorites from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Friday at the North Tonawanda Public Library, 505 Meadow Drive.
At the end of each program children will remain in the room. Enter through the door in the adult fiction area and exit into the lobby.
No registration necessary.

Breweriana Show set at Eldredge Club
The 37th annual Breweriana Show and sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Eldredge Club, 17 Broad St., City of Tonawanda.
Sponsored by the Simon Pure Chapter of the Brewery Collectibles Club of America, the event and appraisals are free.
Items include cans, trays, tap knobs and advertising memorabilia.
AARP plans summer picnic
AARP No. 4574 will put the final touches on plans for an August picnic at a noon meeting Thursday at the VFW Hall on Elgin Street, City of Tonawanda.
Firefighters will be available for blood pressure readings. Bingo will be played. Members are asked to bring donations for the food pantry.

SMArt Walk for a Cure set on Grand Island
The fifth annual SMArt Walk for a Cure to benefit spinal muscular atropy awareness will take place Aug. 2 at Beaver Island Park on Grand Island.
Research doctors have stated that SMA will likely be the first genetic disease for which there will be a cure. This may lead to many other genetic disease treatments.
In addition, the WNY Chapter of SMA recently received a state grant for $5,000 through the state department of health.
Parish hosts performers from Poland
An award winning girls’ song and dance group from Poland will perform on Thursday and Friday at Corpus Christi Church, 199 Clark St., Buffalo.
The group will sing at the 11:30 a.m. Polish language Mass on Thursday and at 7 p.m. Friday.
Admission is free. The church is one block from the Broadway Market.
