Class of ‘41 plans 67th reunion
North Tonawanda High School class of 1941 will host its 67th reunion on Aug. 30 at the Fairway Restaurant at Deerwood Golf Club, North Tonawanda.
Alumni of the classes of 1942, ‘43 and ‘44 are invited.
Reservations must be made by Monday.

Senior center offers day trip
A day trip which will include a two-hour boat cruise, buffet luncheon and round trip transportation by school bus is planned by the North Tonawanda Senior Citizen Center on Tuesday.
The cost is $30, $7 for transportation.

A classic bag sale will be hosted from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, 149 Broad St., City of Tonawanda.
Fill a paper grocery bag for $2.

Concerts on Canal series continues
Michael Bly will perform at 7 p.m. Friday as part of the Concerts on the Canal series on Young Street in the City of Tonawanda.
The concerts are free and open to the public.

Village historian selected for seminar
Ed Adamczyk, Kenmore Village historian, is one of three historians in the state selected by the state Archives Trust to attend the annual Hackman Research seminar for public historians in September.
The three-day event will offer the opportunity to consult with professional archivists and conduct scholarly research into the history of Kenmore at the state museum, the state archives, and the Cultural Education Center in Albany, with all expenses paid by the Archives Trust.
Adamczyk has been Kenmore’s historian since 2006.
Schofield site of Red Cross blood drives
The American Red Cross will conduct blood drives from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Aug. 26 at the Schofield Residence Nursing Facility, 3333 Elmwood Ave., Town of Tonawanda.
Donors of all blood types are needed. New and current eligible donors are urged to schedule and keep appointments by calling 800-448-3543 or visiting www.donatebloodnow.org for appointments.

Gospel music focus of coffee house event
Gospel music and fellowship will be offered at Good News Coffee House from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the community room at Summit Mall, Williams Road, Wheatfield.
The event is hosted by Rev. Jake and Margie Keuning and Ken Robins.

Orleans Niagara BOCES continuing education offers part time evening classes from September to November.

Tractor pull in Pekin offers fun
Pekin Fire Company will host a tractor pull on Saturday at 3024 Upper Mountain Road, Pekin.
Gates open at 11 a.m. and at 1 p.m. the pull will begin.

Farm museum schedules festival
Sanborn-Lewiston Farm Museum festival will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday and Sunday at 2660 Saunders Settlement Road (Route 31) in Sanborn.
Civil War reenactors, Native American dancers and beadwork exhibits, large scale train, a flea market and antique engines, tractors and equipment will be featured along with the world’s largest sandbox.
Admission is free.
