Flu shots available at senior center

A flu inoculation program is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 4 at the City of Tonawanda Senior Center, 35 Main St.

Appointments may be made by contacting the center at 692-7029.



NORTH TONAWANDA

Musical program set at adult day care

Robert Volkman, a keyboard player, will perform at 1 p.m. Friday at DeGraff Adult Day Care, 82 Mead St., North Tonawanda.

Volkman has his own recording studio and provides the voice and music behind many local cable shows.

The event is open to the public. Call 694-7662 to reserve a seat.



Spaghetti served at Renaissance Club

The Renaissance Club of North Tonawanda will serve spaghetti from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the club, 252 Vandervoort St.

Salad, homemade soups, and desserts are available for an additional charge. The club is open to the public.



Healthy Rhythms to entertain at DADC

Carolyn Zimmerman, certified Remo Health Rhythms Drum Circle facilitator, will entertain at 10:30 a.m. Friday at DeGraff Adult Day Care, 82 Mead St., North Tonawanda.

Health Rhythms develops and provides materials, programs training and the latest research supporting the use of drumming as an effective means for promoting and maintaining health and well-being.

The musical experience is open to the public. To reserve a seat, call 694-7662.



Ghostlight Theatre schedules auditions

Auditions for the 20th anniversary production of the Christmas play “All Through The Night” will be conducted from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the Ghostlight Theatre, 170 Schenck St., North Tonawanda.

Five men, four women, four girls and three boys are needed for Dec. 3 to 20 play dates.

Candidates will be asked to a give a cold reading in a group setting. No appointment needed.

Preparedness topic at Schofield

A free program “Are You Ready for an Emergency?” will be offered at 10 a.m. Nov. 4 at the Schofield Adult Wellness Center, 3333 Elmwood Ave., Town of Tonawanda.

Dorothy Levitt, coordinator, of the Wise & Well Program of Erie County Department of Senior Services, will discuss preparing for an emergency by breaking down the planning process into small steps.

FBI to speak at Watch event

The Town of Tonawanda Crime Resistance executive board will host a town-wide Neighborhood Watch meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Sheridan Community Building, 3200 Elmwood Ave., Town of Tonawanda.

FBI agents will present an in-depth program on gang activity and the ongoing war against drugs.

Canary, finch society schedule event

International Canary and Finch Society will meet from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday in Niagara Falls. New members who share an interest in these birds are welcome.

Spaghetti dinner benefits association

A spaghetti dinner and Chinese auction to benefit the General Pulaski Association will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Private Leonard Post 6251, 2450 Walden Ave., Cheektowaga.

Tickets are $8, $4 for chidden age 12 and under. Take out is available.
