ART: Falls native to receive award

Staff reports

Niagara Falls native David Oliver will get an award Wednesday to pursue an original one-man performance of Vincent Van Gogh.

Oliver will receive a $1.500 check from the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo during a ceremony at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo.

The money will be used to finance his trip to Holland and France to research Van Gogh. The show will articulate the essence of the legendary artist and will debut next theater season in Buffalo before being offered to New York City theater agents.
