Kohler Youth Center offers events for all

Tonawanda News — The Tonawanda Recreation Department has scheduled fall programs for adults and the youth.

The Kohler Youth Center, 291 Kohler St., Tonawanda, is hosting an after school program, run by the Tonawanda Parks & Recreation Department.

The center is open from 2:45 to 5:30 p.m. on all school days.

Openings still exist in the first session which runs to the end of January. Session two runs from February through the end of the school year.

The program is for resident children currently in kindergarten to sixth-grade.

Bussing is available from all schools in the district.

The center is equipped with computers, playstation, Wii, board games, and offers crafts. In addition, it has most supplies a child may need for any school projects and or homework.

In addition to the after school program, adult programs include a Total Body Sculpt exercise class takes place from 8:45 to 9:30 a.m. Thursdays and gives participants a for a full body workout.

Bring two-to-five pound weights, an exercise mat, and a water bottle to class.

The cost is $2 per class, which begins Oct. 10.

Adult Scrapbooking Nights are from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 30, Nov. 14 and Dec. 17. The center provides paper, embellishments and stickers. The cost is $10 and includes supplies to choose from and dinner.
